My work features mostly rendered digital illustrations featuring stylized character art. In the past, I have explored different traditional mediums such as markers, colored pencils and pens, which I continue to use occasionally to this day. I have always been into various types of media, such as magical girl Japanese animation, fantasy video games and many types of horror, and I use these influences in my art. I also draw inspiration from various different aesthetics, such as fairy core, clown core, Y2K fashion, space core and alternative goth. I describe my art to be vibrant and colorful, almost in a mystical way. My goal is to portray original characters and already existing characters in visually aesthetic ways and ideas. I like to use varying colors in my art to make it pop and stand out more. For example, I demonstrate my usage of color theory and harmonies by turning simple strands of dark brown hair into clusters of blue, pink, or red, and they are integrated into the hair subtly. Then sometimes I like to use glitter or sparkle brushes in the hair as well as the clothing, making it look as if they are sparkling but not in an overly apparent way. It’s my way of making my digital paintings resemble a bright and cosmic vibe, almost as if you are wading into the milky way galaxy, or if you were treading through an ethereal fairy grove. I have achieved this in many of my works, although I am constantly experimenting with new ideas and techniques that I derive from other artists that I admire so that I can improve my own style and flair. I am grateful to everyone who can look at my art and see that I’ve sat down and really worked on these pieces and that my work can give out “eye candy” to anyone who looks at it.
